The Office
So I had to play along. It is a very special "Office" day. I can't wait till 9PM.

I'm a Jim, too! Thx for your comment...I love finding out from other moms/dads about their kids' development 'cuz I'm so new at this. Kyleigh did all physical things early, and the early words like mama/dada early or on time. But at the exact same age as your son she's different in speech than other kids I know. She blabs all day long at home, only a % we understand, and she verbalizes 20-30 words whenever she feels like it. But she understands faaarrrr more! You can give her an instruction that includes her leaving the room and bringing back some random object, and she'll do it correctly (98% of the time--to account for distractions along the way!). But in public she won't speak to others much at all. She learned some signs from Baby Einstein, and uses those sometimes instead. Whenever I ask docs or friends if this is normal, people say "Oh, don't worry, she's doing fine." Maybe she's really shy...maybe Silas is, too, I dunno. I'm glad someone else gets my concerns!
PS Full sentences @ 1yr old, really?! Wow, super impressive! That info + her inhibition w/ public speakin/singing maybe = her gifting...her words may be her most powerful tool for reaching others! If Silas recognizes stuff and relates certain things, I'm certain he'll be yackin' your ear off to tell you all he sees around him in no time! :)
