Back to School time

Well it's here, Back to school time. It's one of my fave times of the year. There is something about fresh new supplies! It makes me want to buy new pens, paper, clothes and shoes. Being a teacher I love to just walk the back to school aisle and look at all the new products for that year. I found Crayons for .25 a box and other amazing deals so I grabbed them. Then I got her small school supply list and I had already bought everything on it. It was only 5 items so I am sure there will be a bigger list when we got to orientation.

I have gone through all of Ellie's clothes and shoes. There isn't much she needs so I think we are set for now in that area. I would love to take her and buy her a new outfit or two and new pair of shoes but I think we can make due. We are going to use her back pack from last year b/c it's still in really good shape. We do have a new lunch box for the year, her other one that matched her back pack broke mid year last year.

Back to school time also brings back memories of my grandma. She always took us shopping or gave us money to do some back to school shopping. Well okay mom took us whether grandma went or not. Grandma was in a wheelchair and so she had a lot of assistance from my mom. I loved going to the mall with her. She was a lot of fun. It is good memories. I remember the last time she gave me back to school money. We were sitting in the parking lot at her doctor's office.

Looking back I think this is something that I want to do with my grand kids. Take them and buy their backpack, an outfit or two and a pair of shoes. It would be great bonding time just me and them. A great time to create memories.

Robbie Seay Band @RVCC

What an awesome night of Worship. The concert last night was so much fun! I am so thankful that we were given the opportunity to host The Robbie Seay Band at our church River Valley Community Church. I am so excited at the prospect of doing this again.

This Frodo, Matthew Kidd, reminded me of our Friend John Hutton. I haven't seen John for almost three years. Seeing someone that looked like him made me really miss him.

So, after sound check something happened and some glass was broken on the stage. I along with several others went and picked up what we could see. I decided I better vacuum just in case. Good thing I did because Robbie came up on stage and took his shoes off. I was a little nervous at first but then after about the 3rd song with no injuries I relaxed.

The Robbie Seay band consists of Robbie Seay, Ryan Owens, Michael Lisenbe, and Matthew Kidd.

The same outfit

So Ellie was not quite 2 months old and Lilly is 9 months old. The outfit is 0-3 months, yes it's the exact same outfit.
